- OK,
This may be a challenge for you guys. Time to show off your stuff!
I'm getting a motorized wheel. It will fit into forks that fit 26" wheels (Go to revopower.com for more info and specs if I screw anything up, here). The motor is IN the wheel. There's a cable for throttle and another for fuel, but ALL the rest fits between the spokes. Pretty sweet, huh?
Well it goes around 20mph BY ITSELF on the flats. I do about the same on my road bike. I figure if you put it on the front wheel and me on the back, that equals over 30 mph with very little effort on my part. But the low gear ratio on all the 26” wheel bikes I know of will throw me off the seat if I try to pedal that fast!
So I have the question AND the caveat.
Question: What is the highest gear ratio I can find on a 26” wheeled bike
Caveat: NO DISC BRAKES! The wheel won’t support them.
Can you guys help me? Go to that website and check this thing out if you haven’t already heard of it. Maybe you guys could make some money off of being dealers…?

Any Cruiser bike should fit your need as they are all made pretty well and are a very simple design normally ranging from single speeds up to 8spd. Check out our site and go to the Trek icon to look up their 08 line of cruisers. They have over twenty to choose from. I hope that helps! [less]

Depending on what you like to ride I would recommend different groups as they specialize in certain disciplines, such as road or mountain, touring, endurance, scenic, xc DH, all mountain/trail riding. You have lots of options. A few I would recommend are Fatrac, Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship, Chico Velo puts on a lot of cool road rides/centuries. Good luck locating someone and if you're anywhere near Auburn/Roseville come by and look us up, we do rides of all kinds every week. Thanks, H [less]

Trek and Cannondale both offer you Comfort bikes, Hybrid bikes and performance fit road bikes, all of which would offer you the ability to ride leisurely and give you the capability to ride longer. The comfort bikes will be the least fun for longer rides as they will be a bit heavier and not as efficient but boy are they comfy to ride. The hybrids will tend to be lighter and have taller wheels, making it easier to ride longer. The performance fit road bike is the best for longer distances but will cost a bit more and weigh a lot less. Your average bike price for these will begin about $349. Thanks for your question, H [less]
- I ride my bike about once a month. It seems that every time I ride the tires air pressure is low on both wheels. I have changed the inner tube a few times and still have this issue. What is going on with my tires?

Every high pressure tire will leak air slowly. Is the pressure difference really significant? Most tires will leak about ten to fifteen psi per month. Sometimes it can leak a bit more but that is the average. Just pump them up before you ride and they should be fine. If you continue to have issues just bring it on down to The Hub and we'll diagnose it for free. Thanks for your question, H [less]

Road Bikes will commonly use the American River Parkway that runs from Downtown Sac to Folsom. It's a great ride with awesome scenery. If you're looking for Mountain Bike trails, Folsom again has a great network of trails easily ridable for any age or ability. Granite Bay at the end of Douglas Blvd is an excellent staging point. Auburn is also a great place to ride and offers a little more elevation and technical challenges. We run group rides out of the hub three days a week. You're welcome to add your name to the email list, just call Heath or email him at norcalhub@yahoo.com and he will add you immediately. Thanks for checking us out and come by and say Hi sometime.
